Notes from Nathan - Bad Experiences

Okay, so you’ve had a bad experience right? We all have. But just because you’ve had one bad experience doesn’t mean that experiences following that will be bad. Sometimes we condition ourselves to thinking that we create these bad experiences and that they are only happening to us. In essence, you get to say how the experience goes. You get to choose how you are going to be in these situations.
People play victim without even knowing that they are doing so because of how they have conditioned their thoughts. As each year of our lives pass with these conditioned thoughts of badness, we create more of just that. What will it take for you to shift your thoughts and begin to have better experiences?

Are you willing to change the way you think today?

Notes from Nathan - What are you afraid of?

Often times in our adult life, many of us have created "comfort zones". It is within these zones that we feel safe away from any unnecessary discomfort and drama. We know where we live, we know where we work, we go to the same grocery store, we talk to the same people and life is pretty much the same old thing.

So I ask "what are u afraid of?" What if u went to a different grocery store for a new experience? What if u made a new friend on your morning commute to work? Does your comfort zone keep you from living a more fulfilled life? Have you thrown in the towel when it comes to new relationships? Are u scared to talk to strangers? What are you afraid of?

Don't continue to allow these online portals to make you socially handicapped. Get out there and meet new people. The only thing keeping you from a social life is YOU! Wake up!

IYANLA’S DRAMA WITH OPRAH MAKES HER BOOK #1

(blackmediaSCOOP) That tv cat fight between Iyanla Vanzant and Oprah Winfrey is paying off! Iyanla’s latest book “Peace From Broken Pieces: How to Get Through What You’re Going Through” is now a New York Times bestseller! You may remember, Iyanla enjoyed regular segments as a self-help guru on “Oprah” until a falling out ended her appearances 10 years ago. In February she returned to the show for a no-holds-barred interview that aired in two parts.

The two finally got to the bottom of the miscommunication that forced them to go their separate ways, which left Iyanla broke and on the verge of committing suicide. FYI, “Peace From Broken Pieces,” is published talk show host/author Tavis Smiley’s SmileyBooks. It currently sits at #1 on the Times’ Hardcover Advice & Misc. list.

KELIS - Sums It All Up for Us, SO JUST SCREAM

Been running in place for such a long time
Stuck in a race in the wrong line
When it all came down on me.
And I haven’t had faith for such a long time
Am I outta place or out of my mind
Should it all fall down on me

Its not enough to live, so just dream
Its not enough to sing, so just scream

You’ll never know
If you don’t let it out
You've had enough
They’ll call your bluff
You cant back down lost in a crowd
You’ve won the right to scream and shout
They'll talk about you lost your cool
There is no point who makes the rules
So lets get to it
Now you’ll prove it
Break out

Scream and shout

Sound the alarm
Raise your arms
Your on your own
Your not alone
Big city got you on the ground
Afraid to fight don’t make a sound
So lets get to it
Now you’ll prove it
Push back

Scream and shout

Been running in place for such a long time
Stuck in a race in the wrong line
When it all came down on me.
And I haven’t had faith for such a long time
Am I outta place or out of my mind
Should it all fall down on me

Its not enough to live, so just dream
Its not enough to sing, so just scream

Notes from Nathan - Happiness

Did you know that you get to choose your emotion?

I was coaching a client who would constantly tell me about how unhappy she was. She didn't like her hair. She didn't like the color of her room. She hated her job.

When I coached her I would remind her that she had a choice and that wherever she is right now is because she chose to be there. She would naturally argue that she didn't know how to be happy and I would simply say CHOOSE.

She has since quit her job. She finally took my coaching and got her hair cut and she asked her friends to help her paint her room yellow. Now she is realizing that she has been playing victim to her choices.

What do you choose today?

Notes from Nathan: What's Your Next Move?

t's Thursday!  I swear the weeks zip by like Superman scooping Lois Lane from villains.  We are almost half way through the month and what an amazing month it has been.  At the top of the month I was awarded Entrepreneur of the Month by Royalty Media.  I'd like to give a special shout out to Lynne & Likwuid for honoring me.  I had an opportunity to attend their monthly networking dinner, Royal Connections, and made incredible contacts.  Living in the most hyper city in the world causes an entrepreneur like myself to wonder on a daily basis what my next move will be.  I am extremely happy to be able to do what I enjoy and that is producing online content, networking, bringing amazing talent to the forefront and making a difference in the world.
I have an amazing team here at The Future Forward.  We have declared our take over in 2010.  What you are witnessing right now is a sneak peek into what we are capable of.  We constantly challenge ourselves to think outside of the box and to stay ahead of the curve.  I've always been a leader, following just isn't my thing.  I blame the gayness.  LOL.  It forces me to go against the grain because quite frankly, I am bored with the world.  Being bored with the world makes me want to create new experiences, which leads me to The Saturday Experience.   On Saturday November 28th, SVEDKA Vodka will be sponsoring our 5-week only theme party event.  People have asked me, is this another party and my answer... NO, this is NOT a party, it's an event!  When people attend events that I produce, I like to deliver something that they won't get any place else.  So join us and find out for yourself.  Please don't wait until Sunday's Facebook updates to get the 411, be a part of The Saturday Experience!

With 2010 upon us, I have to ask... what is your next move?  I coach people to achieving their goals and making those dormant dreams come true.  Log on to my coaching website:  www.nathansevenscott.com for more information.  Give the gift of coaching this holiday season.  Look for my gift certificate.

Don't go into 2010 not knowing your next move, let me coach you from goodness to greatness!

Notes from Nathan: ToUch THR3E

I am on a mission TO CHANGE THE WORLD! I recently watched a movie called "Pay it Forward" and I was so inspired that I decided to take matters into my own hands and create a movement of my own. The movement is called The ToUch THR3E Mission. I detail everything in the video below. My goal is to have this video viewed by ONE MILLION people. Now, imagine if everyone who watches the video actually takes on touching the lives of THREE people, that would totally cause a shift in the world. I am very excited and cannot wait to see the outcome. I do hope that people actually email me too! But, am I ready for all those emails? YEP!

Since becoming a Life Coach, my life has shifted in a major way. I'm getting things done with much more velocity. I am producing results that I never thought I could produce. I am also coaching people on how to live a life that they love. This is amazing! I highly encourage people to hire a life coach. With the way things are going in the world, it's important to have a structure, a support and that's what I provide for my clients. As always, I am more than happy to have conversations with people to share with them the benefits of having a personal life coach.

Notes from Nathan - Cynicism

How far does being resigned and cynical get you?

I was having a conversation with a client over the weekend and he said a number of times during our conversation that he was preparing for a “week from hell”. Immediately, I thought to myself, is there a planned week that I didn’t know about where fire and flames fall from the sky. No, of course not, I pointed out to him that he was creating this week from hell and the week hadn’t even started yet. He was projecting.

Each day is meant to be a blessing. When you wake up you should be thankful for another day of breath another day to create amazing new possibilities for yourself and your life.

Choose today to have a positive attitude. Choose today to be an inspiration to others. Choose today to make a difference. Remember you have a choice as to how your day, week, month and year goes.

Notes from Nathan - From Online to Offline

We live in a fast paced world, that’s pretty evident. We have also become very distracted in our day-to-day living. We have access to pretty much any and everything throughout the course of the day.

I remember a time when I had to wait until I got home to speak to my friends, now they can catch me as long as I have my cell phone in my immediate possession. With modern technology there is almost no way to fully escape. They even have devices where your friends can track your location. Now that is absolutely insane and I refuse to buy into that one.

Don’t get me wrong, I love facebook! It has allowed me to contact people that I have lost contact for almost 20 years. However, as of late, I have found myself sitting in front of my computer talking to those very people and checking for updates as if they were important! I am an entrepreneur and business owner, left to generate clients and my own income. Surely there are things that I could be doing rather than chatting away with people that ultimately are equally distracted.

I have a client who told me that he is glued to his television and computer while his social life is pretty non-existent and his living quarters is a total wreck. So, I ask “when was the last time you cleaned your room?” or “when was the last time you invited your facebook friends to join you offline for coffee or just a walk in the park?” We don’t even realize that these distractions, while seemingly bringing us closer together, are ultimately keeping us apart. Why? It’s because we choose to stay within the confines of our living quarters therefore not stepping outside of our comfort zones. Our social skills are lost and we are unable to have the connections that we deep down inside yearn for. So, today I invite you to not let your distractions become bad habits. Get out there and be social!

Here is the challenge. Over the next two weeks, extend an invitation to meet someone offline. This should be someone that you have never before met in person. Another option is to pick up the phone and have a real conversation, this would be effective for those connections that don’t reside in the same state as you. I invite any of you to give me a call. And don’t make it about making a romantic connection just a HUMAN CONNECTION. We all need love!

Notes from Nathan - Is your house in order?

One of the biggest problems people face in their lives is clutter. There is this nagging need to hold on to things. Clutter in one area of your life is very likely to show up as clutter in other areas. Clutter prevents having space for anything or anyone else in our lives.

Take inventory of what keeps you occupied, what fills up your time, could you eliminate anything that is keeping you from living your fullest life? Are you putting off goals because of this clutter? Now is the time to declare a clearing so that you can make room for healthy relationships, a cleaner living space and peace of mind

If you are seeking clarity and peace of mind, contact me. Let me be your life coach.
