In my experience in being in the limelight I have learned that haters will attack you left to right. Earlier this year I had a birthday celebration called Paparazzi and many of my peers and "suppose to be role models" attacked me for my party planner having a $10 birthday donation (which if you did not get me a gift would $10 matter?), my celebrity theme "Paparazzi", and for calling myself a gaylebrity (which is a nickname that our very own Lil Mogul gave me). Now I am bringing this up because the community and others will attack you for so many things, because they are obliviously just want something to talk about, many times people just love to feed off drama. I know that we were taught that it may be jealousy; however I disagree they just like drama and don't understand why people like myself or Tyra Sanchez are so special, who has recently been attacked again by a hater.
Every since Tyra has appeared on Logo's hit show "Rupaul's Drag Race," people have attacked James for being tagged the "Other Tyra"(like myself a nickname someone else has given him), attitude, speech, and many other things. I could sit here and go on and on about how people have attacked him and list all the negative remarks, but I am writing this to empower my fellow GAYLEBRITY! The other Tyra pulled a Beyonce Knowles (well she probably wouldn't have reposted the video) and practiced kindness and laughed the HATE off! I love you Tyra Sanchez you are one classy lady, check out what was said about "America's Sweetheart."
When you think of a first love most people name someone they fell for in high school or college; well Delvon Johnson is attempting to change that and teaching readers that you must first LOVE you in order to LOVE anyone else. I had the opportunity to get the talented authoress to answer a few questions about love of course, his new book, and upcoming projects right before his star studded galebrity birthday celebration “Famous and Fabulous!”
1. Who/What inspired you to right your own novel?
I was deeply in love with someone, who ultimately left me with nothing. I was stuck with a fabulous home, bills and no income to pay for it. I was so angry and upset, that I needed a way to channel my anger. That is how Love Yourself was born. I also remember reading E. Lynn’s books, and thinking to myself, I can write a book! My plan was to publish a book so fabulous that it would bring my ex running back to me begging to take me back because of its success. If you look in the acknowledgements, I thank him for taking me through what he did, because if he hadn’t, my book wouldn’t exist. By the way, he’s the character Corey in my book "Love Your Self First!"
2. Where would you like to see your work get you to?
Well, I would like the book to be a New York Best Seller, of course. I would also like to make a movie or a TV series out of it. Currently, the screenplay is being worked on to make that dream a reality!
3. What other projects are you developing?
Currently, I am working on a play, which, God willing, will be an Off Broadway success, and will take me into the big leagues. It’s called Cybersex. I have also completed the sequel to Love Yourself First, which is called Follow Your Dreams To The Stars. It will be out by November 2010 It’s third part, Undercover Lover, has also been completed, and should hit shelves some time in spring 2011. I am also trying to get a casted for a Showtime TV series, called Flesh to Flesh, scheduled to air Fall 2010!
4. How was your first love experience?
My first love experience was strange. He was from Delaware. I was 18 and he was 34. He had a foot fetish! It was full of drama, and I thought I was going to die when we broke up, but I quickly learned that love is a horse and when we fall off, we have to jump back on and try again.
5. What is your biggest pet peeve with a love interest?
My largest pet peeve with a love interest is a man being cheap. I am a giving person, so I expect my love interest to have the same gestures at heart. It’s not so much about their income, but it’s more about how much of what little they have that they are willing to sacrifice to show me how much they love me.
6. How does it feel to be a cupid baby?
It’s a cute feeling. It’s funny because if I am seeing someone around Valentine’s day, usually they have to get me gifts for both occasions. It’s almost like having two holidays in the same week!
7. How do you learn to love yourself first?
Treat yourself. Go out to dinner alone and have a 5 course meal. Learn to enjoy spending time to yourself and eventually you will find yourself very comfortable in your own space. If you find something that you love to do unconditionally, it will replace that empty feeling that you need a man in your life and fulfill it. For me, that’s writing. For others, you have to find your niche and stick with it.
8. Describe the love that the LGBTQ community is missing?
The LGBTQ community is missing the unconditional love that we should all have for one another. I am just coming out on the scene as an author, and this life can be crazy. We, as a community need to stop being shady to one another and embrace our talents and share them. There is so much money to be made with the talents that we posess. Sometimes, we as individuals can’t see that because our heads are too far in the clouds. If we learn to stop judging each other, and know that we are all in the same boat, trying to make it, we can go a long way. We need to enjoy life and the blessing that God gives us and stop taking ourselves so seriously. The sooner we can get beyond that, the quicker all of our problems as a gay community will be solved.
So as the month winds up so does the remainder of the buzz of this month's hottest event... Ok I really hate to brag; however Paparazzi was obliviously the event to chat about. Thank you so much for walking the red carpet with me on Saturday January 9, 2010 as I celebrated my first annual 25th birthday and turned 26. Paparazzi was a huge success and I had an amazing time, I hope all my fellow galebirties did as well. I have always wanted to have an event that was fit for a King and Paparazzi was that event, not very many people are escorted into their party by 4 hot male models. I do want to thank all of my sponsors, media partners, and designer for showcasing your designs at the event. Also the kind words of Bry’Nt, Nathan 7 Scott, and Lynne Rene. If you missed Paparazzi you missed the event of year, because the streets are talking baby.
Baby you will be famous,
chase you down until you love me papa- PAPARAZZI

So I have never started a “New Year” off the way I started off 2010. So much has happened to me in a matter of days and I am just sitting here looking out my window wondering what can I do to grasp a hold on to my life? As the question resounds in my head I answer my own question, I am going to take control of my year and my life. As many of you know in my professional world some things have already shifted; however in my personal life for the past year and a half things have been on a rollercoaster ride.
LOVE
So as you have watched “Dating Dwight” you may have noticed that my dates are not to actually make a real life love connection. My dates are to enlighten my viewers on the art of dating, give my date the chance to showcase themselves/work, and last to provide you with excellent entertainment; however off camera I have attempted this task and now it has left me dazed and confused. Have you ever liked someone so much and you don’t know why? When you write down all their traits you sit there and you are like really trying to figure out if the thing will actually work out. Once you decide that you want to take this journey of being friends to see what happens it seems like things began to become rushed and then all of a sudden out of fear one of you pump the brakes to either halt from having an accident or to just slow things down. If you have not been in the situation “aren’t you special” (high pitched squeaky voice); however many of us have. In addition to this type situation the realization that true love or what you thought to be true love separation is a tough thing to deal with. I am so excited I am in the place that I am in right now; however it took some time to get here and now that I am here I really don’t want any threats to shift me back into a not so happy place. The last heart dilemma is the one of an ex thinking you are not over them when you are and they make the confession that they want to be with someone who is fairly good friends with you; however never made the move out of fear of breaking your heart. Now that is a sweet gesture and honestly even if there was love still there I have learned you cannot force someone to love and be with you, so why stop someone else’s happiness, by doing that you are preventing your own true love from coming into your life.
CAREER
So in 2010 I have decided to embark upon the journey of really getting my career to the next level. I have had many career shifts in the past and the one thing that I have learned is when the fire gets high I get really creative. As many of you know I have had a very interesting last few days on the entertainment front and many of you are waiting to see what I am going to do. Well my primary place of employment is with “The FUTURE” and I signed up to work for “The FUTURE,” not any of my co-contributors. When I was approached with the idea of a company that would bring the media to a community that I create my work for I was siked and over the past year with The FUTURE I have reached several of my goals and created some work that I am very proud of. With every job there are different things you have to deal with, different personalities that you have to adjust to, and different assignments that you may not want to work on; however if your good out weighs the bad and you believe in your company’s mission I suggest that you hang in there and give it your all. This is the year that the Dwight Allen O’Neal brand will become a household name. I celebrate 10 years in this business and I am excited for what I have already become blessed with and what is coming today and tomorrow.
PAPARAZZI
As Saturday quickly approaches I reflect over all my years and I am excited about many things that have happen and I am sad by some. With life you take the good and the bad and you deal with it all. I am so happy that God has given me the gift of life and I would not trade that in for the entire world. My birthday party has turned out to be a “mega” event and many of my friends, staff, and I have put a lot of work into pulling this thing off. When I sat down with my party planner I told her that I wanted to celebrate everything that I have enjoyed in life. What we came up with were fashion, cake, men, and Hollywood. When you place all these things together what you get is cameras, stars, models, underwear, and Paparazzi. During the process of planning this event I learned that life really does reflect art, because rumors just like in tabloids flare and my response to that is “they talked about Jesus (who is perfect) so why not talk about you (who is far from perfect). I cannot wait for my birthday to actually arrive on Saturday, I made this event free because I really want to see everyone and right now I want to just celebrate life, it is a new decade and a new year.
As I open up to you all I ask is that you continue to support and uplift one another. I think so many times in our lives we tear and pull each other down. Let’s leave that bad habit in the last decade. Happy New Year and Happy Birthday to ME!!!!

New York, NY (DECEMBER 28, 2009) – Royalty Media Group, Toonzworld Management, and Off the Clock Productions today announced that client/producer Dwight Allen O’Neal will be celebrating his 25th birthday during his 26th at the posh Grace Hotel, 125 West 45th Street, on January 9, 2010 at 7 p.m.
“2009 started off at a rocky start for me and I missed my 25th birthday, so why not celebrate it the same year that I celebrate 10 yrs being in the entertainment industry,” said “new it boy” Dwight Allen O’Neal. “I am just really excited that I have so many partners to celebrate my achievements, success, and my birthday with, it has been my goal to give young Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Questionable youth someone to aspire to be great like and that is what PAPARAZZI represents."
Paparazzi will be premièring the hot new provocative designs of celebrity loved Nico and Adrian’s underwear collection, along with the Atlanta breed underwear line THE-TEE, by Lee Gregory. The underwear captures the pure masculinity and sexual essence that not even David LaChapelle, Italian Vogue, Flaunt, GQ, Nick Cannon, or Paris Hilton could resist being fans of. The infamous red carpet will be sponsored by The FUTURE and hosted by online tabloid blogger SKORPION of The Skorpion Show, who rants, raves and gives comments on pop culture that has been featured on 20/20, TMZ, Concrete Loop, and urban favorite Allhiphop.com.
This 26 YEAR celebration has already confirmed the Who’ Who of the LGBTQ community and their many allies ranging from musicians, political representatives, and entertainers, to just give a taste; popular girl boy duo and Dwight’s favorite, Likwuid and Raydar of Rebel Starr will be providing the hottest music for the night and The Beautiful Boyz of Pride World Podcast will be providing live coverage from the event. Be sure to strike your sexiest pose and bring your cameras for the FLICK FLICK, because there’s no other SUPERSTAR, you know that I will be your papa-PAPARAZZI.

About Dwight Allen O’Neal Dwight Allen O’Neal began his career as a successful model working with clients such as Calvin Klein, Rolling Stone Magazine, Mosiah Clothing Company and many others…But this wasn’t enough for Dwight. Being educated at “The American Musical and Dramatic Academy,” has allowed him to buff his performing talents to near perfection and gave him tools for stardom. Working as a professional entertainer as “Allen O’Neal,” the it boy has been seen on the big screen in “Hitch,” “Comedy Central,” several commercials, modeling campaigns, and much more. When he began writing an advice column in “Teen People Magazine,” it opened his eyes to his ability to assist adolescents with issues they face. After completing this opportunity, O’Neal decided that he would take on the challenge of mentoring Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Questionable adolescents through writing, creating, and producing Christopher Street. Recently O’Neal has become the make-up artist for “Gossip Girl’s” Leighton Meester, online correspondent for “We Are The Media”, creator, producer, and host of “Dating Dwight”, and has become a celebrity correspondent who dishes newsworthy information at The FUTURE Forward.net, in a column called “Dishin’ It with Dwight”. Through Christopher Street O’Neal was also recently nominated for six Velocity Awards, one which included “Best Television Series.”
