The (Ubuntu) Tribe has spoken and The 25th Annual NY AIDS Walk

On April 26th we  introduced the Ubuntu Tribe to 350 of our supporters at Rock the Bowl to Benefit Ubuntu Education Fund at super flossy Brooklyn Bowl. The event was a huge success. Shout out to the Future Forward team for promoting the event!

Here are a few photos, enjoy.

Party people in the place.

and Bowling!

All of this took place when people could pull themselves away from the delicious food courtesy of Blue Ribbon Restaurants. Trust me when I say it was amazing!

Here’s a bit about the Ubuntu Tribe

The Ubuntu Tribe is a group of leaders in their fields whose passion for their respective careers mirrors Ubuntu’s dedication to the children of The Tribe will consist of 20 “ambassadors” whose actions have not only garnered respect in their communities, but whose influence is a catalyst to mobilize their friends and colleagues in large numbers by “calling them to action” on behalf of Ubuntu and the children we serve in Port Elizabeth. We have selected a diverse group of artists, activists, entrepreneurs, restaurateurs, educators and more, who best reflect the Ubuntu philosophy of inspiring community and respect.  By planning and attending events, speaking on behalf of Ubuntu, and supporting our fundraising efforts, Tribe Members will encourage the extensive networks they have developed to join the Ubuntu community.

Here is a video, created by Nathan 7 Scott, featuring some of our Tribe members:
