Notes from Nathan: Control Your Anger

We live in a world where we are trained to judge one another.  We are fed information from all angles, be it the internet, newspapers, magazines, television and other outlets.  Television is saturated with shows where contestants are judged by the way they look, dance and create.  We are individual creatures with our own God given talents.  Each of us should take time to further develop who we are as individuals instead of allowing others to dictate our fate.

Being criticized can cause one to become angry and ill feelings fester.  The only remedy to anger is to not have it run your life.  Deal with it dead on.  When you are criticized, wait 2 weeks before you get angry or upset. After 2 weeks if you still wish to get angry, add on an additional 2 weeks of wait time.  If after the end of those 2 weeks you still want to get angry, write the critic a long letter.  In this letter detail  why you are interested in becoming angry.  After this time and the process of purging your concerns through the letter, you may no longer have the destructive anger.  You may not even wish to send the letter.

Express your anger, but don't let it ruin your life and kill your spirit.
