Fantasia Stands By Her New Baby Choice

Do you stand by choices that you have made? I have had experiences that have involved matters of my heart and I have allowed outside opinions to influence the choices I have made. When it comes to matters of our heart or choices in life period make sure it is something you want. I would love to use Fantasia as an example, because recently she came forward with news about her pregnancy and how she is standing by the decision she has made.

The “American Idol” champ has revealed that she is pregnant with her second child.
Amidst rampant rumors that she was with child, the 27-year-old singer confirmed the big news at a charity gig for the grand opening of Riverview Apartments in Jacksonville, Fla., on Sunday (July 31).

“You are the first person that I share this news with,” Fantasia told the crowd. “And I share this with you because I can relate to you. And for a while I walked around figuring out what will they say and what will they think about me. But now I tell you I don’t live my life for folk.”

She continued, “This child that I carry, God has given me this child. And I don’t have to hide it from none of ya’ll.”

The father of the child has not been revealed, but Fantasia has been romantically linked to Antwuan Cook. The pair made headlines last year after Cook’s wife alleged that the two were having an affair.

I personally want to thank Fantasia for allowing me to look at her an example and for allowing me to stand up for all the decisions I have made in my life… some good and some not always the best ones.

Kennedy Center Honors 2010: Paul McCartney, Bill T. Jones, Oprah Winfrey honored

Winfrey has become our national confessor, our friendly, neighborhood billionaire philanthropist, the wizard who sprinkles magical dust over every author, entrepreneur, do-gooder and politician within her orbit. What Winfrey doesn't do is as powerful a statement as what she does. How dare she not interview Sarah Palin! The culture, it seems, has declared ownership of "The Oprah Winfrey Show."

Winfrey begs to differ - but only to a point. "I feel it's very much my show in that every decision you see on the show has come from that desk," she says, gesturing toward the pale green, bean-shaped table in her office. "The part that belongs to the culture is every single person who has watched . . . who has found or discovered a piece of light from it. Flecks of light, that's what I call it."

Right When I'M Pretty

When is wrong right? When some one attractive does the wrong, like Angelina Jolie? This weekend I saw Ms. Jolie’s new film Salt and she did an amazing job, it was actually one of the best action films I think I have ever watched. After the movie ended one of my friends commented on how he was so glad that she stole Brad Pitt from Jennifer Anniston and I could only shake my head, from hearing this so often. When I asked why I was not surprised by his response, he feels that since she is prettier that it is okay. What is wrong with our society, just because someone is attractive and famous it is okay for them to get away with something that is morally wrong?

There have been several celebrity mishaps and the funny thing about most of them is the attractive ones society just feels as though it is ok for them to do wrong. Look at the Fantasia incident, now grant it this young woman does have talent, but since she isn’t considered a natural beauty people ripped into her over having an affair with a married man. Now grant it I am not justifying what Fantasia did; however why not live for her like society lives for these other women who have stolen someone else’s husband. Another example that we cannot forget is how Mrs. Alicia Keys Beatz, stole someone’s husband, got pregnant, and now is officially his wife and America is blissfully happy for her and her husband, when his ex sits in her beauty salon bi-weekly still crying over him. When do we stop looking at people’s fame and looks and start holding them accountable for wrong? Wrong is wrong and we should judge people on their actions not their looks.

Craig Lewis in search of FAME

On the movie FAME Weekend, FUTURE readers we introduce you to CRAIG LEWIS.

Ten diverse performers competed for their shot at fame at Six Flags Magic Mountain on Saturday, September 5, in front of a panel of celebrity judges including Grammy Award-winning artist Ciara.

Judges Ciara, Kevin Tancharoen, director of the re-invented film "Fame," and Ashlan Gorse, E! News show host, named singing duo Craig Lewis as the grand prize winner in the Fame National Talent Search finale.

"You're like all The Jackson 5s rolled into two," said Gorse in her appraisal of the Craig Lewis performance. Jeffery Lewis and Zuri Craig, the duo from Atlanta, Ga., took the stage with neon clothing and cartoon backpacks, shocking the judges as they belted out their rendition of "Out Here on My Own" from the movie "Fame."

Audience members of all ages screamed for Craig Lewis as they worked their way past the stage and into the stands. Post-show, Ciara said she was judging on a number of factors, which made it a tough call between Craig Lewis and singer Georgia Napolitano from Texas.

"It's about the charisma, talent, stage presence, energy, that connection," she said. Lewis said he had no idea he and singing partner, Craig, were going to win. "I can't even think of the words to explain what I'm feeling," said the 26-year-old. Craig, 24, expected winning to change his life, but not until after celebrating his victory with some thrills at Magic Mountain.

Craig Lewis won a $5,000 cash prize, a photo spread in OK! Magazine, a five day trip to Hollywood to meet with a top agent and studio executive, a VIP card valued at $1,500 to Johnny Rockets, a gift card to Sephora, as well the inclusion of their winning performance on the "Fame" DVD. The movie "Fame" releases in theaters Sept. 25.

The duo has amassed an impressive amount of fans, their most popular YouTube video has over 600,000 views, and their ever-growing fan base includes some celebrity admirers such as American Idol winner, Fantasia Barrino and Oscar Award winning actress and American Idol contestant, Jennifer Hudson to name a few .
