Fantasia Stands By Her New Baby Choice

Do you stand by choices that you have made? I have had experiences that have involved matters of my heart and I have allowed outside opinions to influence the choices I have made. When it comes to matters of our heart or choices in life period make sure it is something you want. I would love to use Fantasia as an example, because recently she came forward with news about her pregnancy and how she is standing by the decision she has made.

The “American Idol” champ has revealed that she is pregnant with her second child.
Amidst rampant rumors that she was with child, the 27-year-old singer confirmed the big news at a charity gig for the grand opening of Riverview Apartments in Jacksonville, Fla., on Sunday (July 31).

“You are the first person that I share this news with,” Fantasia told the crowd. “And I share this with you because I can relate to you. And for a while I walked around figuring out what will they say and what will they think about me. But now I tell you I don’t live my life for folk.”

She continued, “This child that I carry, God has given me this child. And I don’t have to hide it from none of ya’ll.”

The father of the child has not been revealed, but Fantasia has been romantically linked to Antwuan Cook. The pair made headlines last year after Cook’s wife alleged that the two were having an affair.

I personally want to thank Fantasia for allowing me to look at her an example and for allowing me to stand up for all the decisions I have made in my life… some good and some not always the best ones.

Who Runs The World?

Do you like “Girls”? Well when I was first asked this question I was like… “Now chile you know I am gay,” however then I remembered my girl Beyonce’ just came out with her new tune “Who Run the World (Girls).” With Beyonce’s new song I do believe that she has made far better songs and I am not overly excited about this one; however I cannot wait for her to release her video and rumor has it that this week during “American Idol” we will finally have the chance. I do believe that this could be the truth since her song isn’t doing so hot (peaking at 33 on the charts) and “The Voice” is not helping the Idol one bit. I am hoping that this video will have me fall all over my girl again and really run the world with her instead of feeling like I am going to work when I hit the dance floor. If the song does not do as well as all is hoping, I hear that we can expect for her to hit the studio again and push back her new album (Titled “4”). If she does return to the studio I suggest she hires her father Matthew again and title the new album “Prodigal’s Daughter.”

Read more: Jennifer Hudson says "I do" to Target when Lady Gaga wouldn't

by Ed Stych

Pop star Lady Gaga may not want to form an exclusive arrangement with Target Corp., but other music stars aren't following her lead.

Target announced Monday that Grammy Award-winning singer Jennifer Hudson had signed an exclusive deal with the Minneapolis-based retailer for a deluxe edition of her new album, "I Remember Me."

The deluxe edition, which includes four additional songs and bonus video material, will only be available at Target starting Tuesday, the company said in a news release.

It was widely reported earlier this month that Lady Gaga had ended her deal with Target for exclusively selling a deluxe version of her new album, "Born This Way." Lady Gaga said Target wasn't doing enough to help gay and lesbian causes.

Target was still offering customers the opportunity to pre-order the deluxe version on its website on Monday. But so were other retailers, such as Amazon.com. The album will be available May 23.

Dishin it With Dwight: A New Earth with Oprah, Jay-Z, and Abdul

UPDATE--- UPDATE--- UPDATE---IT WAS FOR OWN!!!!

Oprah and Jay-Z's "New Earth"

Rumors are flying all over the net about The FUTURE’s very own honorary member Oprah Winfrey visiting Sean “Jay-Z” Carter’s old neighborhood in Brooklyin, NY. Jay and Oprah visited Bed Stuy on Lexington Ave. & Lewis Ave. Jay’s block before moving to Marcy Projects; but then spent some time in Marcy Projects. The rumor is that Oprah was filming for an upcoming show that Jay will be featured on and Jay was showing her where he came up; if you also look closely in the photo you will see that Jay is holding in his hand “A New Earth,” which is an amazing book that Oprah has supported with her book club. A New Earth written by Eckhart Tolle assist readers in creating their life’s purpose and it challenges you to look within yourself and make decisions that truly transform your way of thinking in return creating “a new earth” for you and those around you. With this book being in his hand I wonder did Oprah bring him a copy? Is Jay currently reading it? Or was he trying to impress Ms. Winfrey? Regardless of why he is holding the book if you want an awakening in you and want to start creating new possibilities for your own life you must read “A New Earth,” it changed my life.

A New Earth
Tolle tells us there is good news, however. There is an alternative to this potentially dire situation. Humanity now, perhaps more than in any previous time, has an opportunity to create a new, saner, more loving world. This will involve a radical inner leap from the current egoic consciousness to an entirely new one.In illuminating the nature of this shift in consciousness, Tolle describes in detail how our current ego-based state of consciousness operates. Then gently, and in very practical terms, he leads us into this new consciousness. We will come to experience who we truly are—which is something infinitely greater than anything we currently think we are—and learn to live and breathe freely.

Playing The Bigger Game - PART 1

The MEGA World of Lil Mogul
by Lil Mogul

STEP 1: Accept The Fact That You Will Have To Stretch
(And That The Pain Will Be Worth It)

So far, you’ve been paralyzed by at least one big step you have to take because you know – you just know - that it’s going to be incredibly hard or painful or scary. There’s something you need to do, but it’s beyond your comfort zone. And you’ve made the discomfort of taking that next step so big in your mind that there’s no way in hell you’re going to take it.

Guess what? It’s not nearly as scary or painful or destructive than you think. You’re just blowing it out of proportion. Will it be easy? No, of course not. But it won’t be nearly as hard as you think – you’re just seeing it that way because you’re not “all in.” You have one foot on the train that’s going to take you somewhere and one foot on the ground, and it hurts like hell to live life and do business in that situation.

So you need to decide to go all in and do it. But that’s scary. I get it. But I also get how to defuse that feeling of scariness, and it all starts with the first sentence of the first personal development book I ever read. (a book that literally saved my life during a violently traumatic time as a kid)

Life is difficult. This is the great truth, one of the greatest truths … because once we see this truth, we transcend it.” – M. Scott Peck, The Road Less Traveled

Don’t let the word “transcend” make you think this is some fluffy woo-woo thing (and to all my fluffy woo-woo readers, no offense, my friends). By transcend he means “get over it.”

Yeah, life and your business can be difficult. It really is. However, it seems much more difficult than it really is because society is training us to think that it should be easy. Microwave popcorn, drive-throughs, magic pills and American Idol have conditioned us to expect everything to be easy and push button and if it’s not, then oh-crap-what-is-wrong-with-me-I-am-such-a-failure.

That’s why we get livid when someone isn’t doing 10 miles over the speed limit, or the drive-through is slow, or *gasp* Twitter is down. We’re trained to believe that trivial things are difficult, and that the things that are actually kind of challenging – well, that’s impossible. Yeah! This happens to me too, and I have to find someone to kick my booty and read that quote again.

.
Here’s the point:
If you wish/expect/hope things should be easy, then getting out of your comfort zone is terrifying and paralyzing and something you will never, ever bring yourself to do it. Goodbye big game. It was nice to pretend I really wanted you.

But if you accept that life and your business is difficult, then it stops being so damned bad. Yeah, it’s a pain sometimes, but you expect it and it’s not so bad simply because you expect it. You know you’ll wince, but you know it’s going to be worth it.

This is the first and most important truth you have to accept if you want To Play The Bigger Game - it’s not going to happen without some uncomfortable stretching. You can’t get there with the muscles that got you here. But you can push yourself, you’ll survive (really), and after you go through the discomfort you’ll be stronger on the other side.

When Omaba was three, he was riding his tricycle at the playground, and he was complaining about how hard it was to go up the less-than-gentle incline. He was worried he wouldn’t be able to go there often on his trike because it was just too hard. So his mother told him the truth: If he just stuck it out today, then his legs would get a little bit stronger, and tomorrow would be a little easier. And then the next day it would be even easier, and so on, until it wasn’t a big deal anymore.

Most kids would have shrugged it off or complained some more. But not him. He actually pedaled slower, so it would be harder, and so he would build up his muscles faster. Holy crap! The kid was three and he was already upping his game.

What if you had that same attitude? What if you decided the temporary pain or discomfort was just a natural part of the process, and that going through it wasn’t “hell,” but just the dues you have to pay to come out stronger on the other side?
You’d Play a much Bigger Game, that’s what.

So why aren’t you? You most defuse the programming that has tricked you into thinking that the challenge of personal and business growth should be feared instead of devoured.

Game on!!! Until next week..

Playing the BIGGER Game!!!

The MEGA World of Lil Mogul
by Lil Mogul

This weekend, I received an e-mail from a business associate that had me really thinking. So, I wanted to share it with all my weekly readers. The article was very long, I decided to create a 7 part series called Playing A Bigger Game. It was written by Dave Navarro; however, I applied and added a number of principles as well as comments/statements from my new business practices.

There’s an old saying that “Nothing works until you do” – and it couldn’t be more true. No matter how much you might wish for heaven and earth to move just because you want it to, you have to cowboy up and take action. The problem is that most of us don’t take actions that match up with our goals - we’re not “congruent” with them and we play small. Hey, that doesn’t get us anywhere.

If you want to shave years off of the time it takes to get to your “stretch” goals you need to do some stretching yourself – you’re going to need to play a much bigger game. No doubt you know this already (you hear it everywhere, don’t you?), but have you really been doing something about it?

You may have been caught up in the urgencies of life so far, but it ends now. We make this work together. I’ve got your back and will tell you what’s worked really well for me. Let’s talk about the reasons you aren’t playing as big a game as you could be right now: Fear and Distraction.

Fear. Playing a bigger game = doing what it takes to get the things you say you really want = doing more and being more than you’ve ever been in the past. That’s scary, but I’m about to help you move past that fear.

Distraction. Yeah, you’ve got a lot going on in your life. Maybe too much. But what do you do? Answer: You make the time (starting with just 30 minutes) and you create a plan. The making the time part is easier than you think – take a lunch hour, but take it by yourself. Put “American Idol or Project Runway” on DVR this week instead of watching it live. Whatever… You can do this! You just have to decide to start with a few minutes soon. Once you’ve decided where you’re going to spend your first 30 minutes of thinking time, with your notebook and bam, you’ve got your plan. You don’t have to start from scratch, the scratch is done for you.

For the next seven weeks, we’re going to dig into seven strategies you can start using playing a bigger game and getting more out of your life and your business.

We can do the exercises together.
Until then… Have a GREAT week.

‘Glee’ glorifies outcasts, redeems FOX

By Michelle Wright
The Badger Herald

Head of Glee Club, Will (Matthew Morrison), revisits his childhood dream of performing. Sitting in the staff lounge, he and fellow male teachers are inspired to sing away their sorrows and form a male acapella group, cleverly named, “The Acafella’s.”They are an instant hit, but begin to take away from Will’s commitment to his beloved Glee Club.

Will’s sub-par attendance falls in line with Sue Sylvester’s (Jane Lynch) plan to squash the Glee Club. She gets the inside scoop when three of her Cheerio’s join the club so that they may keep an eye on Finn (Cory Monteith). Quinn (Diana Arrgone), head cheerleader and Finn’s girlfriend, buddies up to her new “Gleeks” to create conflict and break up the group from within. In addition, Quinn and her cheerleader cronies bring in a high-maintenance professional choreographer to crack the group’s team spirit.

Rachel (Lea Michele) works with Finn after school to “expand his vocal range.” However, with the Cheerio infiltration and Will’s lack of attendance, Flinn begins to question his commitment to the club. However, Mercedes Jones (Amber Riley, another American Idol success story) is the Diva that brings ALL THE SOUL to the show.

Guest star Josh Groban makes an appearance, attending “Acafella’s” big community showcase. Groban plays himself, and comes with a “gift” for Sandy (Stephen Tobolowsky), a teacher desperate to be part of the group. Episode three explores relationships between characters and tests commitment to the club. It also gives increased camera time to the supporting characters, developing them as individuals, with issues separate from Rachel, Finn, or Will.
Glee” continues to perform the perfect amount of musical sequences in its unique, “gleeky” and spirited way. The musical sequences are based on a show-tune style, but the show consistently infuses it with new genres. Episode three also experiments with more new stage sets, exploring the “music video” format. The musical sequences continue to compliment the plotline, and sets “Glee” apart from any other show on television.
