Likwuid | Likwuidation Reprise

Halloween is the time to address your biggest fears and play with them. On today the sensational rap phenomenon Likwuid released her brand new video for her song “Likwuidation Reprise” which explores here being tortured and beaten by a cult who is attempting to brain wash her and her talents… The video is taking you through the story in reverse order and allows the audience to see the torture process. My production company Off The Clock Productions was on hand providing the Make-up and Styling for the project. This video is definitely right on time to offer you an entertaining Halloween experience and it is one of the hottest videos you will ever see.

LiKWUiD (Stylez) is the stage name of American musician Faybeo’n LaShanna A. Mickens who was born in Columbia, SC and developed into an independent hip hop standout performing artist and freestyler in New York, NY. In 2011, Mickens released the “No Regrets EP” (Sano Business) produced by Italy’s Bassi Maestro, after releasing 3 independent projects Likwuidation: The 5th Element (2003), Southern Belle (2006), and Gummy Bears & Champagne (2010), respectively. The “No Regrets EP” has been described by Rap Reviews as a project that “pulls the listener in from the beginning and never lets go, making for a surprisingly deep release chock full of intelligent, thought-provoking lyrics that deal with everything from putting whack rappers in their place to empowering women in hip-hop and in other facets of life.”

New Gay Series " CockTales"

I am currently in pre-production on my new series CockTales and I am looking for a few good men and a couple of woman to bring it alive. Over the past few years I have tons of support from our community as my career has advanced in film making, blogging, and working as an activist and now I am seeking the next level of support. There has already been several rumors going throughout the community about the series and this is the first time I am speaking on it. CockTales is the next chapter of the lives of the diverse group of friends who explore their lives in the West Village and it shows the story of coming of age. Throughout the fall I will be searching for the faces and diverse talents that will assist in bringing this tale alive.

THE CREATOR OF CHRISTOPHER STREET TV PARTNERS WITH MEAK PRODUCTIONS TO LAUNCH NEW GAY SERIES “COCK-TALES!”

“STRAIGHT UP WITH A TWIST!” THE STORY OF CHRISTOPHER STREET TV CONTINUES WITH THE POP DRAMEDY “COCK-TALES!”

New York, NY (AUGUST 26, 2011) – OFF THE CLOCK PRODUCTIONS today announced that they are producing the spin-off of Christopher Street TV entitled “Cock-TALES” in partnership with Meak Productions in searching for the cast of the new series. Cock-Tales is currently in pre-production and is not scheduled to be released until Summer of 2012. Complete details on talent submissions will be released on September 3, 2011 during the 15th Anniversary Celebration of Atlanta Black Gay Pride, where Meak Productions has been the Official Worldwide Radio Sponsor since 2009. “LIVE” Radio & Video Coverage will be conducted by Meak Pro throughout the Labor Day Weekend Black Pride events, which will also feature an EXCLUSIVE On-Location Interview with Dwight Allen O'Neal about the upcoming “Cock-TALES” series.

Cock-Tales explores the life of 1 of Christopher Street's characters, Jharmey Smith, a southern transplant from Memphis, TN who has decided to link up with his new BFF, Blaire Knowles, who gives you no middle line you -either love her or hate her. Jharemy and Blaire are co-managers of the hottest gay night club in New York City and they never see eye to eye on anything except both loving and sharing a good “Cock-TALE”. Both adults experience their own business and relationship struggles that mold their entire New York City experience and bridge the gap between hetero-homo lifestyles.

Now celebrating his 2nd Anniversary with Meak Productions’ Talent Agency Division, Dwight decided that they would be the best avenue to recruit the New Cast for the series.

“I am so excited to be partnering with Meak Productions in creating more entertainment for the LGBTQ community,” SAID DWIGHT ALLEN O'NEAL, EXECUTIVE PRODUCER. “Christopher Street TV has and always will be my heart; however it's time to share a good Cock-Tale with the world.”

“Dwight was refered to us by his Publicist from Toonzworld Management, and has been with us since Summer 2009 as a Celebrity Talent”, STATED MIKO EVANS, EXECUTIVE PRODUCER/CEO. “

When he approached us about his new project, we immediately said YES! This project is going to bring a New Approach to Gay & Straight

In Memory of Dariel Pulliam

Photobucket

I am so sad to report news that I have prayed was not true all day… The Future Forward’s friend and fellow gaylebrity Dariel Pulliam has passed away on today and he will be greatly missed. I have many memories of Dariel Pulliam; however the one that I will cherish the most is of him giving me love advice over frozen drinks at BBQ’s. Dariel you showed me so much love when presenting at the 2010 Blatino Awards and being the first presenter to show up on time and beat from head to toe really showed your professional attitude and passion for others… You will be greatly missed; however I know that you are with our father looking down on us all. I love you my brother, my friend, and fellow STAR!

Please check out the fun interview I did with Dariel on last summer, I had such a great time with him.

Also please lend a hand by assisting his family with his burial at:

PO BOX 47001 Windsor Mill, MD 21244

For More Details contact: Sparkle for Trio Management sparkle@trioent.com Our prayers and thoughts are with Dariel Pulliam’s family, friends, and loved ones!

If you knew where I am standing... If you could see the sights I see... If you could hear the angels singing... The songs they sing eternally... If you knew the One I’m holding... Could see the smile He smiles at me... If you knew where I am resting... You would not cry for me... I’m resting in the precious arms of Jesus... No other place would I rather be... So if you shed a tear, Please don’t shed it for me... If you knew where I am resting... You would not cry for me... I know you’re confused about my leaving you so soon... But I’ll be with you again... Maybe morning, night or noon... So I’ll save a place for you.... Right beside the crystal sea... If you knew where my mansion’s standing... You would not cry for me

Body of ART

I always love to have the opportunity to admire someone's art and I really love when the art is displayed on a VERY sexy canvas. Ricardo Muniz is a very talented photographer and artist and his latest video has really been creating quite a buzz on the internet. Take a moment to admire his work and contact him to purchase your very own portrait of these sexy specimens. ABOUT Ricardo Muniz:
"Coquíchulo Images was created to provide artistic support of my own Latino community. I was a social worker and teacher working with people with severe issues for over 15 years. Before I decided to pursue my art—photography, puppetry, and body painting—I devoted myself and my work to help foster creativity and success within communities of color. I will say that my greatest work as an artist has been while working as a teacher. No job molds, shapes, creates, supports, directs, inspires and enables young people more than that of being a good and caring teacher. I made it a point to smile often as a teacher and as a social worker. I make it a point now to have fun while doing a shoot. Laughter goes far. At the end of the day, it’s not just a great shot that makes me smile: it’s looking back at the fun all of us had while creating it. For more information on the artist or the models or to volunteer your nekkid skin as a canvas for a body art project, please contact Ricardo Muñiz at coquichuloimages@yahoo.com. You may also see more of Ricardo’s work at http://ricardomuniz.solomodels.com"

My Personal Inspiration: Jason Bartlett

What better way to end the month than to recognize an individual who is African American, openly gay, a father, and has served as a political figure for our country. I had the wonderful opportunity to meet Jason Bartlett at a conference that we were both presenting at in West Palm Beach and I was instantly swept away with his charm. When meeting this very intelligent gentleman I was delighted to learn of all his accomplishments and to learn how humble and kind he is. I am the most excited to honor Jason Bartlett as my final inspiration for Black History Month and I challenge each of you to discover your own inspirations for your individual lives.

Jason Bartlett is an American businessman and politician from Connecticut. A Democrat, he was a member of the Connecticut House of Representatives from 2007 to 2011, representing the state's second district in Bethel, Danbury and Redding. He was defeated for re-election on November 2, 2010.

Bartlett was raised in Redding and graduated from Redding Public Schools, before earning a B.A. in political science from the University of Connecticut.

He was elected a state representative in 2006, defeating Republican Phil Gallagher by 4,112 votes (54 percent) to 3,524 (46 percent). In 2008, Bartlett was re-elected to a second term, polling 54% — a margin of 945 votes. In 2010, Bartlett faced Republican Dan Carter and was defeated.

He had previously run in 2002 and 2004, losing on both occasions to Republican Hank Bielawa. He lost by over 450 votes in 2002, but the 2004 result was exceptionally close — Bartlett lost by just 87 votes, with 49.6 percent of the vote to Bielawa's 50.4 percent.

For over a decade, Bartlett has owned and operated his own mortgage company. He is the owner of Connecticut First Capitol in Bethel as well as a restaurant in Hartford. Bartlett is no longer with the mortgage company he owned and operated, and now works for the National Black Justice Coalition, a non-profit dedicated to ending racism and homophobia by empowering black lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people.

He raised two sons, the children of his deceased uncle and aunt. Now 21 and 19 years old and both attending community college in Connecticut, they came to live with him when they were 11 and 9 respectively.

Bartlett is gay. Although his district is 96 percent white, Bartlett is African American. He served for a time as the country's only openly gay black state legislator, a distinction he lost when Simone Bell was elected to the Georgia House of Representatives in December 2009.

My Personal Inspiration: B. Scott

As the month of February continues I will continue to highlight individuals who have personally inspired me to be the individual that I am. Many people that have inspired me of color are in the arts, entertainment, and beauty world; however I am inspired in so many other ways that range from health backgrounds, political, and athletic. The next individual would have to be one of the first rising internet gaylebrities that I can think of and is still going strong. I have had the opportunity to meet this diva several times and I really do think that he deserves all the recognition he receives and really want to give him a special honor for black history month. Thank you B. Scott for all the wonderfulness you have done for our community and holding it down for all gay men of color.

B. Scott, (born Brandon Scott Sessoms on March 21, 1981) is an American television personality, radio show host and internet celebrity who is best known for his YouTube videoblogs and website lovebscott.com.
Sessoms, as B. Scott, who is openly gay, has become a popular internet personality through his visibility on YouTube and his personal website, lovebscott.com, which primarily focuses on the five pillars of Pop culture: Celebrity News, Fashion, Music, Nightlife, and Miscellaneous Entertainment. The website's intent is to approach entertainment and celebrity news with a positive spin. The name lovebscott.com was selected in an effort to give his website a readily-identifiable personality with the mission of conveying a positive outlook. In May 2007, B. Scott started incorporating YouTube videos into his website to personally connect with his readers. The videos include personal observations, celebrity news, musical performances, political commentary, interviews and messages of encouragement to the audience. The videos are produced out of B. Scott's Los Angeles residence. The YouTube site maintains a subscriber base of over 90,000, and has won numerous awards for viewership and subscriptions. B. Scott has won the Best Video Blog by The Black Weblog Awards in 2007 and 2008. In January 2008, B. Scott was selected by YouTube to become one of the company's partners.
In 2009, B. Scott created 'The B. Scott Show,' a talk/variety-style internet show that ran concurrent to the original videoblog. Interview subjects included celebrities and important figures in the LGBT community. Interviews are conducted in B. Scott's home and broadcast on both the YouTube channel and the website. Celebrities interviewed have included Ne-Yo, Ashanti, Eva Marcille, LeToya Luckett, Mariah Carey, Jordin Sparks, and Chilli (of TLC).
B. Scott’s YouTube channel has led to recognition from numerous celebrities. Popular blogger Perez Hilton in 2007 named B. Scott his “Favorite New YouTuber”. In addition, on June 19, 2009, Academy Award winner Jamie Foxx declared on his Sirius Satellite Radio channel “The Foxxhole”, “I love B. Scott. He’s very attractive. He looks like a cross between Prince, Rosario Dawson and Lenny Kravitz.” This unsolicited acclaim helped open B. Scott to a new level of recognition.

B. Scott is one of the first black gay internet gaylebrities to cross over into mainstream entertainment with appearances on The Tyra Banks Show and on the Oxygen Television Network. With all of his hard work and dedication this is one gaylebrity that is not going anywhere anytime soon

Personal Inspiration: Byron Lars

Walking into a room where everything is beautiful and the astonishing fashion that is transpiring my mood was created by someone who started like us all. Today I want to introduce you to a very talented individual who I had the opportunity to experience first hand his beautiful work on last Friday as New York City kicked off Fashion Week. Byron Lars has been mentioned in many fashion schools and magazines; however he has fallen under many of our radars. On today I would like to allow you to learn a little more about the man who has dressed our very own first lady Michelle Obama, Disney’s first black princess Anika Noni Rose, Dakota Fanning, and many others.

Byron Lars started designing under his own label in 1991 with a small collection of sportswear focusing on what Lars refers to as "twisted American classics." Taking inspiration from such unlikely sources as his grandfather's hunting jacket, Byron crossbreeds it with a "Dior New Look" proportion to create a Dutchess of Windsor meets Field and Stream hybrid.

Juxtapositions such as above, or as in taking a men's cotton dress shirt and then distorting it to the point of resembling a Dorothy Lamour sarong, have become Byron Lars' trademark. "When edgy fashion is steeped in something familiar, it becomes far less alienating to the consuming public," says Lars.

After only his second season in business, Women's Wear Daily hailed Byron as "Rookie of the Year." His line was immediately snapped up by such prestigious retailers as Bergdorf Goodman, Saks Fifth Avenue, Neiman Marcus and Bloomingdale's as well as one hundred other specialty stores throughout the U.S. along with some distribution in the U.K. and France.

"I saw it a few days ago and was blown out of the water," exclaims Kal Ruttenstein, senior vice president and fashion director of Bloomingdale's referring to the premier fall collection of Lars. "He has the freshest point of view of all the young American designers."

Byron's range of designs became most apparent in his Seventh on Sixth runway presentations in which he created accessories as mere fashion show props, only to attract the attention of licensees in handbags, furs and hats. His notoriety also led to his designing a limited edition of designer Barbie dolls for Mattel.

By the contractual end of his licensees, Byron chose to direct his energy away from the designer collection and focus on a contemporary line and pricing structure. "I wanted it to be more about the clothes and less about the 'hype'," says Lars. This redirection was the beginning of "Byron Lars Beauty Mark." Initially a cotton Lycra shirting based offering, Beauty Mark took its cue from the shirts and shirt dresses of the previous collection that put the designer on the map (only this time, without the lofty price point). Since its inception, Beauty Mark has enjoyed eight years of success and is now expanding its product line to include knits, sportswear and dresses in addition to the chic and sexy shirts for which the line is highly sought after.

Personal Inspiration: Merrell Hollis

So in honor of Black History Month I have decided to recognize individuals that have inspired me on a personal level. Each Monday of the month I have selected a different person who I have had a personal experience with and are most likely very involved in our community. The first individual that I would like to recognize is a make-up artist who is truly an amazing talent, humble, and has inspired my own creativity and talents in the artistry world.

From runway to print; from stage to screen, the colorful expertise of Merrell Hollis brushes the faces of the famous.

Merrell is currently Key Groomer for Bad Boy Entertainment. Not only is he on call for Sean 'P. Diddy' Combs, he is responsible for the make-up and grooming of Bad Boy artists.

From Fall 2004 through Spring 2005, Merrell was the Key Make-up Artist for 'Full Plate', a series on the new lifestyle & entertainment channel, TV One.

Other television programs on which Merrell's artistry has been displayed are Oprah, Americas Next Top Model, Entertainment Tonight, MTV's Video Music Awards, TRL, The Early Show, Ambus
h Makeover and numerous BET shows.

Music videos for Ludacris, Snoop Dogg, Nelly, G-Unit and 112 are just a few in which his creative talents have been featured.

For nearly a decade, Merrell honed his skills with various upscale clients such as Paul Mitchell Hair Care System, Saks Fifth Avenue, Clinique Cosmetics, MAC Cosmetics, Bobbi Brown, Lancome, Borghese and Versace.

His work has been showcased in publications such as GQ, Rolling Stone, Vanity Fair, VIBE, Essence and Men's Fitness.

Merrell earned a degree in Fashion Marketing Design from American Inter-Continental University. He also studied esthetician/skin care at the International School of Skin and Nails.

Most recently you can see Merrell's work daily on the Wendy Williams Show.

Here is where Nathan Seven Scott and I had the opportunity to recognize him as Man of the Month. It was very exciting and Wendy Williams had great things to say about him as well.

Why is my eye twitching?

There are so many superstitions that I was raised on and the one that stands out in my mind now would have to be why and the hell my eye is twitching. My grandmother always told me that when your eye twitches someone is going to upset you and trust me when mine twitches everyone should clear their path.

Not all superstitions or myths are negative; some actually bring luck or money. It is said that if your right hand itches that you will receive money or if your left hand itches you can expect a letter. I don’t believe in all superstitions; however I do feel that many of them hold value and truth. Let’s just say my eye didn’t twitch today for fun, I am a little pissed… LOL. Don’t you just love old wise tales… LOL
Here are a list of some of the superstitions I was raised on:
-If your foot is swept by a broom? Going to Jail
-If you split a pole? Bad Luck
-If someone steps on the back of your foot? Bad Luck
-If your foot itches? You will be visiting strange land
-If your ears ring? Someone is talking about you
Share some of the ones you may have heard

A New Me

Recently I took my very first trip to Santo Domingo and I had such an amazing time, I decided that with all the stress that life has offered many of us in 2010 that I wanted to do something for me in 2011. I wanted to go somewhere where I was not known and I could just relax and it was the most relaxing experience that I have had in a very long time. While I was there my companion had lots of drama to happen to him that I will not go into extreme details on; however his negativity became weight on the entire trip. People if you are going through something you have to remember to look on the bright side and if someone is telling you to keep positive, look on the bright side, or that everything will turn out okay; then you need to do just that and stop complaining to the world. One motto I have is that if you cannot change it, don’t worry about it. This is so important because we get so upset over things that we CANNOT change.

Readers I also want to stress the value of friendships, many times we react to the world as if the world owes us something. My father use to say this to me and I was very upset because I didn’t know I viewed life like that; however I did. I thought the world was suppose to be kind to me and that is true; however try to be kind to the world and it will be kind back. In the midst of every situation we can always find positivity and learn from the experience.

Here recently I have been tired of playing the good guy in business, relationships, and friendships. Many times people look at you and they just think that they can run you over and you will not do anything to stand up for yourself and I am really tired of it. It is not your responsibility to stand there and let others misuse you or take advantage of you. I challenge you to stand up for yourself and do what is best for you sometimes.

From this trip I learned that it is a new dawn, a new day, and a new Dwight! For now own watch your step, because you will get the pure truth and honesty from me, I am not going to be the individual that simples smiles and grins. Sometimes you have to be selfish and really love and choose yourself first. Going forward when someone has drama I will just point them to this entry, because I will not waste another second in life trying to lead the world’s horses to water to drink.

Create your GREATNESS
