Arts.Advocacy+Wellness: "Torya and Her Notes on Ubuntu"

Ubuntu School Ambassadors

Ubuntu Education Fund is tapping into the creativity and passion of high school and college students by recruiting them as Ubuntu Ambassadors. These students are helping us strengthen our community based support: They are not only high achievers academically, but are the “movers and shakers” on campus, using social networking as a platform for social

activism. Ubuntu Ambassadors are actively working to encourage their communities to look beyond geographical limitations by spreading the message of Ubuntu; I am because you are. By increasing awareness about our work in Port Elizabeth and organizing fundraisers and events on their campuses, they are effectively placing the power of education in the hands of students in South Africa.

We are very fortunate to be in the company of such bright young men and women. Every so often we will highlight one of them here on Future Forward so that you can get to know them by name. If you know a student who might be interested in becoming an Ubuntu Ambassador, please email me at torya@ubuntufund.org. I will be more than happy to help you get involved!

Stay tuned for upcoming features!
