Tarryn Mthimkulu, Ubuntu Education Fund’s recently promoted Managing Director, has in depth knowledge about the challenges our community members face in Port Elizabeth. Tarryn joined Ubuntu in 2005 as our Financial Officer. In her first year, she radically modernized

our financial tracking and accounting systems to improve our efficiency and efficacy. Tarryn, a native of South Africa, recently spoke with a journalist from The Herald about Ubuntu’s long term commitment to empowering the residents of Zwide township.
